These guys will stick by their king even when they have to share the last castle with 10 other lords, that's just how loyal they are.

Generally speaking, you only have a hope to get those unyieldingly loyal, high-value honorable and upstanding lords to your side when their faction is completely destroyed. The trick is just to get the proportion of scumbags in your faction down to a least a manageable number. Indicting lords is going to decrease your relation with the others as well, which may necessitate indicting even more of them. I think you would do well to indict some of them, before they leave you and take the fiefs you gave them to another faction. And guess what, their shitty personalities are going to create the same problem in your faction.įrom what I've heard it can already be hard to maintain a handful of those guys, let alone a kingdom full of them. They joined your faction not because they like you so much but because they hate their former faction. The scumbag lords (debauched, pitiless, cunning, et cetera) will quickly get embroiled with their king. (The location of their fiefs, the reason you give them for joining, any rivalries with others already in your faction, RtR also factor into this I just have the impression that the relationship "advantage" is the most decisive factor.) If you have 20 relation with a lords who has -65 relation with his current king, chances are he will join you. If you have 45 relation with a lord but he has 85 relation with his current liege, then he's not even going to think about leaving his faction. The thing with recruiting lords (I'm deducing this from my experience, I never looked at the code) is that their needs to be a substantial difference in your favour between how much they like their current liege, and how much they like you.
